I'm currently planning to fly to Dres, but I'm outta ideas.Everything I always do is glue some asparagus staging, sometimes double (like snowflake),with some boosters D:

If you guys have some heavy lifters designs,or landers with probe rovers attached to them, post some pics here pleaseee :D

why landers with probe rovers? Imagine- You land, place flag, jump around with jeb, then undock a probe rover from lander bottom and fly back home. Then, you can enjoy the planet with a rover! No need of two missions for it.

EDIT: rocket can contain the need of refilling in ~300km orbit.(I have a space station there with senior and normal docking ports).

Try building an onion rocket and a smaller payload. Or better, build a serial rocket and watch the lower stages get blasted by the upper! (That is always fun to watch) :P

Isn't the Shrek rocket is less effective than asparagus?

I have a Robotic rover/lander and a manned robotic rover/lander. They are originally designed for Duna, but considering Dres has a much lower gravity they should be more than capable of landing and returning.

I think I found a cool use for the first one,(building bases) but that second one :o remembers me "Tron"

Is it alright if the launcher has around 300 parts and will either abuse or utilize part-clipping depending on your opinions of it. If so, I will post pictures and put it here.

Spica

all rocket designs are welcome :)

Here's my heavy lifter:

3 orange tanks stacked on a mainsail, 4 side separators, two stacked orange tanks with mainsails on those separator. Each outer orange stack has 3 seperators with a large solid rocket booster on top.

It's fairly capable, but you'll have to experiment with a lot of struts to get it flying.

Here's one that I use:

You want the part below the lower separator. Everything else was garbage, but the lift vehicle is solid. That's 3 of the Rockomax X200-32 fuel tanks in the center stack. You will have to arrange the staging so that the lower SRBs fire first, then eject and fire the next set etc. I have a larger one that is capable of very heavy launches, but I don't have a picture. The aerodynamic parts can change depending on what your payload is.
