MapSat is freezing KSP

I just tried to use MapSat for the first time. I got up to about 6000 feet, and it started to lag. For the next 6000 feet it was perfectly fine, then it started to lag again. Any tips or suggestions that can help? I really want to use this mod, but it just won't work

There's a button that allows you to not draw data, use this for you are not in an orbit of some kind.

1) Meters.

2) Mapsat is a RAM hog. Deactivate it on launch so it doesn't lag so much.

3) This kind of stuff goes on Add-on support.
