Behemoth to orbit!

Recommended Posts

Development of the "Pollux" lead to the "Behemoth".

This baby got into orbit the usual way. With a few tricks. But tricks from stock!

First, it was put on the launchpad:

You might notice the small engines on the payload. Those are then started. Since they work against each other, no movement of the vessel results. Just a lot of exhaust.

The additional engines are then decoupled and thrown away with the help of separators.

After that, the payload weights about 65 tons and can be put into orbit the usual way.

The liftoff stage is rather overpowered, but leftover fuel can then be transfered to the actual vessel.

Now the tedious task of refueling that beast can start!
