Finally! Made my first interplanetary travel!

huzzah! I have finally done it! For the first time ever in my life, I have successfully traveled from Kerbin to Duna, Paving the way for further interplanetary missions!

Say hello to Explorer-1!

The rover is completely intact, although I can't say the same for the lander that made this possible.

I have to ask, how happy were you when you first made your interplanetary travel? I know I was full of joy when the wheels touched down gently in the reddish soil of Duna

Well done! Duna was my first as well, and it was pretty damn satisfying to land there.

Same. Duna was my first. There's a certain attraction to landing on the Mars equivalent. We're drawn to it as a species.

Not very happy... So unhappy my face turned upright. My kerbals successfully landed on duna after playing for a week. While I've been my friends instructer to the game, I've looked how nasa got to mars. replicated that and got good results. I never sent a probe there, only kerbals ever went to duna. none of the kerbals got lost. I had enough fuel for corrections. I have one armed missile ship in orbit protecting the tiny lander on duna going to be our new lander base.

Right now I have over 21 kerbals on a ship heading to duna. 10 will go to duna, And 11 will go to eve.

Im really surprised I got to duna without going to minmus or mun. I tried going to minmus but I failed. The mun which I found boring, No need to waste money going to that place. I want to head straight on WITH THE BIG BULL

Not as happy as when I first landed on the Mun, but still pretty happy This was back in 0.17 so before docking or probe cores. I developed a lovely and highly capable interplanetary ship which (when I later bolted MechJeb onto it) turned out to have something ridiculous like 8000m/s of delta-v. I should really re-build that ship some day, just for old times' sake.

I feel like NASA, i shot up so many rovers and probes to Duna before i sent kerbal... mainly focused on probes as i have a probe landed or in orbit of almost every celestial body in ksp. Also launching a new ship to probe remaining satellites of Jool, then i'm just missing Eeloo, Dres which i have probed before, and the Mercury analog which i somehow forgot the name to :3

i sent a probe to eve on a rocket that was never tested before, when i got into orbit i was like "YES!" because i knew 3 things 1. i did my first interplanetary travel 2. i can do interplanetary travel 3. the launcher works! and yes the probe was only a orbiter

Love the rover. Very techie looking. Oh and well done on the landing even if you crashed a little bit.

My first interplanetary ex. was to Eve. When I finally made it, I was elated, until I discovered the rover wouldn't move from under the craft and then the Kerbinaught got stuck trying to free the rover lol.
