How to remove projected orbit path.

I probably said that completely wrong, but whenever I get an encounter with a planet there is always a purple orbit path showing what it will be like after. It makes it extremely hard to put maneuver nodes down, how do I remove that?

AFAIK you can't shut it off because the map system is merely doing its job in showing what will happen in the future given the current situation and all burns and encounters down the road. You can, however, move the purple way-future path by putting another maneuver node way ahead that will put your future path in a different place, hopefully out of your field of view .

You could change amount of projected patches in settings.cfg, it's CONIC_PATCH_LIMIT = [some number].
