MPSS hatch is stuck

I've downloaded the MPSS nautilus mod, but the cockpit part is broken. no matter what, kerbals can't EVA from it - it just keeps telling me the hatch is stuck. I know it's not another part because it happens even when the cockpit is the only part of the vehicle.

Is there anything I can do, or should I just not use it?

Use the crew manifest mod to move them to another part of the ship you can eva from

you have to right click on the module to open the hatch.
