Recreate the alien ship from Independence Day

So if you've seen the movie Independence Day you know what I'm talking about, aliens come to invade earth in massive ships that destroy city's in seconds.

The only mods allowed are any that provide an anti gravity part or one that makes a giant laser (lazor can be used)

Rules:

1: the UFO must be able to move across the sky by itself,

2: it must float at least above the VABs height

3: it doesn't have to have a weapon of mass destruction (though you get bonus points for it

4: it must be big

5: it must be able to maintain a specific altitude for prolonged periods of time

6: you must post pics of your altitude indicator for height to be counted

7: hack gravity mods must be disabled once you reach the VABs height, if you want to go higher you must use stock engines

Points:

500: UFO is able to float in the sky

500: UFO floats above the VAB

1000: UFO holds a giant laser (like in the movie)

10: each km above the ground inside the atmosphere it floats

300: it can reach space:

400: and return^

1000: reach another planet (1000 per planet)

I've been able to make medium sized UFO's so I know its possible with mods, but my decade old computer can't even handle part counts over 100 so I can't make very big ones.

You do realize this thing make ppl A LOT of point right? especially when you enabled any hack gravity mod. Altitude like 11 400 000 m above kerbin will really MUCH points.

So what I got out of this is that hacking gravity is allowed in Kerbin atmosphere. Wouldn't that mean that any craft will work?

Also how big is big? I assume as big as you can make it inside the VAB. And if hacking gravity is allowed, can the UFO be assembled from multiple parts via docking?

As long as it looks like one big solid piece I guess it's ok,

And maybe I should edit the rules so you can only hack gravity to hover above the VABs height, and you have to use stock engines to get higher?

Sorry guys I completely forgot about this thread, as for your question, I think I'll modify the rules to allow the lazor mod, since as far as I know there aren't any giant laser mods
