When reading this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atrophy) on atrophy, it also clearly mentions at the bottom that atrophy can be severily limited using drugs. While the currently known ones aren´t necesarily advisable at the moment (unwanted sideeffects), spending some money into further research on this topic as well may bring forth fruits that can help make hibernation a very interesting option indeed.
