Unable to get my SSTO to orbit

Hello,

I have mastered the art of launching rockets to orbit now I want to launch an SSTO to orbit. I've tried the stock and made my own planes that fly well but when I attempt to make a SSTO it gets to 70km(if even that) but I don't have enough fuel to round it out. What am I doing wrong here?

What ascent profile are you flying in attempting to get your SSTO to orbit, as they usually differ from how you would fly a rocket to orbit?

^ What he said. We need more information to figure out where you're going wrong. How high and fast are you going before you switch to your jet engines? Have you managed to get the areis 4a into orbit yet?

Once I learned to fly off the side of kerbal, and not up it became much easier to reach orbit with the planes. I like to get up to 15000, then ascend as slow as possible up to 20000, trying to get my speed to between 1500 to 2000 m/s.
