SSTO + Interplanetary Design

So, for a while i have been tring to get this design to work correctly. It does take off, either by just using the jet engines and flying off the end of the runway or by using the aerospikes to give it a boost. However, that is not good enough. will someone give me a few idea on improving this craft. Also, I wanted to create a type of cradle that gives this craft interplanetary capability, similar to the jedi starfighter.

i Rebuilt it and it flies. still dont know what to do about the cradle or hyperspace ring.

Well, you're using the B9, you should probably use the SABREs. They're so much more practical for SSTOs.

What I suggest is trying to have a docking port on the rear that you can dock an interplanetary drive to. That almost always works if the connection is good enough.

EDIT: You also have too many RCS ports. Remember, the B9 ones also have linear, which stock RCS blocks don't, so you can get away with 2 of them when in stock you'd need 4.

SABREs are good, but burn to much fuel in rocket mode. Honestly I have had better success with the B9 hyper cruise engines, and a pair of LV-Ns. I use the SABRE M intakes though, they are great. But if I dont I use the variable geometry intakes, lowest drag and best flow rate ratio.

Bam, I got it working with an interplanetary stage. updated the OP album. I edited a version of the aerospike that i think works more like the main engine integrated into the tail section of the craft.
