Here's mine, the Stealth-Recon-Bomber MK11

Stats:

Speed and Altitude: 2602.7 m/s 45000 m ceiling (MJ Throttle Control)(The dive to 2602.7 was below 36000m, so it was surface speed, not orbital)

Weaponry: 6x LV-N Atomic Rocket

Thrust: 1200kn total. 900kn Thrust, 300kn lift from TurboFans.

Weight: 39.68 tons fully fueled. 13.5 of which are the nukes.

Part Count: 122 (my computer: "not sure what do!")

Mods used: RLA Stockalike (installed but not used), MJ2 (Autopilot), Lazor mod (Better Autopilot), TAC Fuel Balancer (I always have this installed, unused)

Points: 50 (Base Req's.) + 300 (Nukes) + 60 (Speed) + 100 (around the world) = 510 pts

Yes, the 2 image galleries are from different flights, as I completed the same objectives both times, but crashed upon hitting the runway the first flight. >:L

Well, the only mods I used are MJ2 and Lazor Autopilot, both of which are allowed. No content mods were actually used when making my craft.

If we are allowed more than one entry (?), I'm going to make a heavy bomber that can carry a few dozen nukes, not even caring about looks this time, just thrust, lift, and payload capacity (provided it doesn't crash my computer)

trust me i would do the same here. because with my set up you can just keep adding nukes to the out side wings.

I have had a design with more then 14 nervas get off the ground and fly with ok stability

I know you only used MJ and Lazor i was just messing with you.

So, my SRB-7 Anvil HLRHB is now under development. Here's a few specs (subject to change): 14 orange tanks of fuel, 461 parts, 562.67 tons, 28 turbojets, expected capacity of 40 nukes, so add another 80 parts and 90 or so tons. It's a computer-melting beast. I had to install dynamic-warp and run at 1/2 to 1/4 warp just to keep 8fps.

The NERVA is represented by the LV-N Atomic Rocket. Please remember that they weigh 2.25 tons each. Are you sure it meets the speed requirements on jets, it didn't seem to be going fast enough in any of the pics?

so im pretty sure i could have landed at KSC..but i keep tyin to beat my high speed and used all my fuel, went into a flat spin about 30 miles from ksc and crashed:mad:

You just wait until I get the SRB-7 working, it carries 30 nerva's. I just need to get it so that the wheels don't fall off on takeoff.

At the very least, that's orbital speed, not surface velocity. It says so right in your picture. Your surface velocity is generally 200m/s less if heading east. Your picture shows you at 44000m still with an extremely high climb rate, so you have clearly made a suborbital hop.

But secondly: There is a thread dedicated solely to trying to build the fastest possible plane. This involves min-maxing everything. All parts add drag, and drag is calculated based on mass, so heavy parts create huge drag. Therefore the planes in that thread are all completely stripped of anything non essential. Even wings get the chop. They are, generally, a single fuel tank, a single engine, and a bunch of ram air intakes. And with these designs, the fastest speed anyone has achieved is just over 2300 m/s. You're claiming to have gone at least 100m/s faster than this (or 300m/s faster if we take your claimed velocity, which is obviously orbital) using a plane that is relatively large and complex with additional "payload" parts.

You're not going to convince anyone, dude.

Not sure if I'm doing this right. I end up in an orbit that's about 35k by 55k at 2200kps. That is, that's the shape of the orbit, but altitude stays between 35 and 40k.

Could probably go twice round like that though.

I'll keep trying to see if I can get an actual score.
