Idea for multiplayer (thoughts would be appreciated)

People have made microsoft flight simulator multiplayer programs, which are not part of the actual simulator. the servers still run through the simulator, but the seperate program connects and runs it. i'm no programmer, but if some of you mod makers could take a look into these. this is one of them. http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/

There are two different parts, the server operator program and the player program. Could a modified version of this work on Ksp?

Multiplayer can and will not work in KSP!

The what not to suggest list is for suggestion posted to SQUAD not the modders.

And as for multiplayer, there have been a few abandoned mods, out there, and a few working one, Kerbal live feed is still up and running and a good way to play with friends.

As so far it looks like the closest possible mod for MP.

Dude im talking about a mod, not to the devs, a lot of people are making these from scratch, im thinking that you could just get this program and use it for ksp

Does the flight simulator program you mention (or flight simulator itself for that matter) allow for time acceleration during sessions? If so, how does it do that? Because that is one of the main issues with implementing multiplayer in KSP, right along with the whole thing with the game considering your craft to be the center of the universe...

Yes, there are several abandoned multiplayer attempts. And we all know (well, apperantly some don't) the reason they are abandoned. And also yes, Kerbal live feed is a working mod, but that's no true multiplayer.

To my knowledge Pwolf's current attempts are the closest anyone has come but unless he solves the ever returning problem of time acceleration KSP multiplayer will not happen.

Don't think you can say that. There are a bunch of timewarp MP concepts in the various forum threads about MP. For example voting or the more advanced one the LOG project wants to adopt. Nonetheless, no mod ever made it far enough to be able to start implementing any of those concepts. So it keeps popping up in every MP related thread, since its the only real difficulty a non-programmer can think about.
