Persistent Resource gather/require

Hey guys,

This is my first post here even if I play this game for a long time ... The question I am about to ask may have been answered somewhere around but I can't find it so easy ...

My question is ... is there a plan to make the resources "active" even if the ship is not focused ... (e.q Kethane mining ... let the drill probe active while launching another ship ... or ... with IonCross, the spacestations should consume/produce oxygen while doing another things (when i was testing it .. didn't had that feature)) so I suppose that is a KSP engine feature that should be added .. and it cannot be modded...

Any rumors whatsoever about this kind of feature ?

Anyway .. if this has already been discussed it may be a good thing because a highly requested feature will more likely be implemented soon.

Considering that no resources (except electricity) are used in the stock game while the the ship is not active, you may be better off asking the specific mods to do it.

It can be modded as part of the update when the ship is not active.
