[0.19] The Buggy to Anywhere!!! (image heavy)

Hi there,

I've been playing Kerbal for a while now... Since 0.13

Here's one of my favourite and most dangerous rockets; The Buggy to Anywhere! (B2A for short).

The lifter is a beast and quite quick for it's size... It lifts around 175t to 75k orbit with 450parts... It also however explodes and/or disintegrates at random.

The first stage has 36 solid boosters. The liquid fuel engines are a 3-at-a-time asparagus setup

If you make it to orbit... The 'tug' section has a truckload of fuel and good power

The lander is really easy to use and can land anywhere (no parachutes required even on Eve).

Use the RCS thrusters to get the buggy off the lander... It's Easy... On low G rocks.

On higher G worlds you gotta rock the buggy off the top and hope it doesn't hook up on anything or break anything important when it lands... viva la quicksave!!! [f5]

How much can that launch stage lift in tons and deltav on tug? Anyways cool buggy

The lifter'll do 175t to 75k orbit... As far as total delta-v; I'm unsure but I'll see if I can figure it out after work!

I've accelerated it from low orbit (initial velocity 2290m/s).

The poodles ran out at 4945m/s

The nukes ran out at 10174m/s

Total tug section delta-v: 7784m/s

I then transferred the fuel out of the lander and got it up to 11793m/s (+ another 1619)

Just a quick bump... I sorta lost track as the forums were migrated to new servers a few hours after I posted this.

I've also swapped the buggy's never used docking port for a nose cone!
