Stand-up comedians worth to watch

I recently discovered stand-up and I like it very much but since it's almost nonexistent in Poland I was wondering could you recommend some good comedians. I've watched George Carlin, Sarah Silverman and Louis CK and they are really good (such a shame Carlin is gone). I know that there is a new season of "Louie" coming in the next year but apart from this do you have any recommendations?

I'd recommend Doug Stanhope and Bill Hicks. They're both Carlin-esque, so don't watch if you have kids around. I'd recommend Robin Williams if you like a lot of action and creative jokes, don't watch with kids though. I'd also recommend Bill Cosby for any family gatherings or if you have kids around, he's mostly clean but uses the occasional bad word.

Does a mix of standup and funny music, probably more of the latter, but I've recently become aware of Tim Minchin. The kind of comic that pops wheelies as he goes over that "gone too far" line, but worth a listen.

Shappi Khorsandi is a very nice Iranian-British comedian, I saw her live, she is quite a funny Deadpan comedian.

Tony Law is also very funny, he is a Canadian, and very funny in a surreal manner.
