For the skybox...

I was thinking for the skybox, instead of just a regular "band" for a galaxy, why not have the skybox show an epic galaxy collision, or at least a ring galaxy?

because you wouldn't really be able to se said events without a telescope, in fact if another glaxey was to "colide" with the milky way you wouldn't even be able to tell a difference.

Can someone instruct me how to remove the skybox? I want a completely black sky, which is something a human eye would see in almost every occasion presented in KSP.

I tend to play on low details and Milky Way becomes really ugly looking at lower texture qualities. It's like a dirty window, you just can't stand looking through it without cleaning it up.

Again, universe replacer.

And the skybox is fine as it is. The first post is asking for things that cannot even be detected without telescopes. There's a good mod for changing the skybox, we don't really need to change the stock skybox.
