generalmiller
I'm not sure if this is supposed to happen or not though I doubt it is, but as I'm not sure I didn't post this in the bug forum first. For some reason in every place except the scenery view and internal views the camera slowly rotates down and to the right. This happens with both a purely stock or modded install. I have no idea what is causing this. I don't have a flight stick in and even if I unplug my keyboard and mouse it still does it. So does anyone else have this problem and is there any way to stop it? It makes precision construction difficult and also interferes with actually flying anything.
Blue
Assuming you have a windows, go to your Control Panel and check your Device Manger for Mouse, Keyboard or other Human Interface devices and see if there are any inputs other than the ones you mean to use. Barring stuck keys, there's not much else I can think of...
Scotius
Does this happen in space during flight? Camera is following Center of Mass. If your ship is not properly balanced, CoM shifts in flight as fuel is unevenly drained from the tanks.
generalmiller
There are not any devices other than the one keyboard and mouse and this happens even if I use different ones. This is also the only game that its happening in so assume my devices are fine. And I know it's not the COM shifting I know how that camera works. This is a extremely slow but constant rotation in the VAB, SPH, Map view (inflight and in the tracking station) and during inflight.
I_do_robots
Modded or not, if it's happening across any install, it has to be hardware. Laser mouse? Quoted from a laser mouse wiki:Unlike mechanical mice, which can become clogged with lint, optical mice have no moving parts (besides possibly buttons and scroll wheels); therefore, they do not require maintenance other than removing debris that might collect under the light emitter. However, they generally cannot track on glossy and transparent surfaces, including some mouse-pads, sometimes causing the cursor to drift unpredictably during operation. Are you using something different with the mouse like it says in the quote, glass mouse surface? Something shiny? Did you always use that?Just thoughts off the top of my head...If its not dependent on the game install, it has to be a hardware (Mouse) thing, either in the setup of the tracking and DPI settings, or, mouse environment...IMO, I could be way off...Just trying to help. generalmiller
Mouse is on a notepad and always has been. Besides it happens no matter what mouse I use and I've tried quite that I've stocked up over the years. It's not like it makes the game unplayable it's just incredibly annoying especially in the VAB or SPH when trying to be exact.
