Well, we all need to start somewhere.

Anyway, It is nice to see a stock-alike modder. I Personally like the design of the elongated nossels- maybe if you combine it with the shape of the radioisotope generators, you could turn it into a smaller nuke engine.

To be honest, I've never thought about using model nodes this way. I take it you're nesting two models, one of which is stretched?

On balance, I think you should increase the thrust and Isp, if for nothing else but to compensate for their unwieldiness. Secondly, how will you deal with the jettison modules / fairings on the relevant engines?

If you have trouble with Blender for modeling, you could do what I do. I model over in sketchup (prepares for rage war) and then imports to Blender to do the UV unwrap, then send it to my mod team to get it textured (which I lack the skills and software to do, not very skilled with GIMP). Then I get it back, do the Unity work and write a .cfg for it. Working part! If you want help with trying such method, feel free to shoot me a PM.
