Space Station sagging?, Damned Robotics "washer" rotation plates

Recommended Posts

So i'm building a space station, and using damned robotics rotation plates attached to sr. docking clamps to rotate modules so the line up as planned, but.. my station sags like a limp....(insert valid imagery) , its not hugely long- only a mid sized 2.5 fuel tank attached to two multi point connectors (which have 2 "escape pods" at either side. Any clues on how to straighten this out?, or am i doomed to kerbicide and a rebuild?

Pics if neccesary. http://imgur.com/NXWnl1J

Many thanks

That's really odd. Are they connected via the node or slightly offset and connected to the surface of the docking washers? Until 0.22 is released I hope they fix the new node attachment system they mentioned a few releases ago that doesn't work because one of the features is the ability to define the physics of the nodes.

Not quite sure what you mean, 1.25> 2.5 adapter, rotation node was then attached, then docking port? I was not aware it could connect any other way unless using part clipping. I will try turing off the SAS as per Gareks suggestion though

I just have a random question, what actual purpose does a docking washer serve for? All the other parts move stuff, transport stuff, open or close stuff, but this one just goes around in circles. So what actual purpose does it serve?

Mention a mothership without engines. You want to attach 2 engine sections radial. But the thrust vectors should be perfectly alligned. Three solutions:

a) abuse quicksave and dock as many times you need to allign them as perfectly as possible by eye

b) use MechJeb for docking and set the rotation angle to 0°

c) just dock and rotate till alligned
