Stupidest thing you have done in the game

Built a 3x7 launch system to send a mission to Eeloo and forgot to strut the frame of it to everything above. As I watched the launch with morbid curiosity as the thing swayed to and fro it suddenly exploded into a massive debris field. This is after years of playing this game, sometimes even experienced players have the small stuff go over their heads.

The first time I started KSP, I built a pretty ok rocket, and went to go launch it. Cue me hitting every button on the keyboard trying to find the "Go" key.

Instead of just deorbiting a half full fuel tank, i pointed it straight at the ground and floored it!!!

A few things:

-Flying a Mun and back mission without any SAS or RCS. Completely manual. Only realized I had done so after I had launched and said screw it I don't need it. That was horrifying.

-Not testing how the parachutes on my large two person buggie opened. Whenever it came down for landing the chutes would flip the buggie upside down, which always crashed it. I didn't realize this of course till I was landing on eve.

-Not understanding why I should use drouge chutes. I'd rip my ships apart every time. every time.

For me its the simple things:

Forgetting to check the staging icons after making changes to engines and tanks.

Parachutes? We don' need no stinkin' parachutes!

To fix a bad design, just use MORE struts on that same bad design.

Just the other day I took an Apollo style mission all the way to Mun, separated the lander, landed, planted my flag and returned to orbit, approached the CM.... I put RSC fuel tanks on the lander but no RSC engines...
