Spaceplanes?! Meh!

Whackjob

Recommended Posts

Tried my hand at space planes. As you can imagine, I have little patience for the usual and sensible. I decided to model a WW2 era Blom und Schloss asymmetrical style aircraft.

Apparently there are issues with the aerodynamic model. This one is almost perfectly balanced in three ways... center of mass, thrust, lift are all in a nice little line from front to back. But, when taking off, it acts like it was thrown by the universe's biggest ninja and promptly imbeds into the ground.

They're going to raise my insurance premiums again today.

That might be it. I'm trying to remember the company name, and my memory is very well known for having the same statistical reliability as random chance.
Yes its Blohm+Voss. And don't give up on Planes, give up on asymmetric planes.

I was told to give up on something once. I believe it was lifting something quite heavy into orbit. I'm sure you can guess how that went.

#EDIT: Unspoken challenge accepted. Gonna coma till tomorrowsday get, but after that I'm building a functional asymmetrical spaceplane.

My guess: asymmetric drag.

And, dude, you can totally build ridiculously big SSTOs! I have a SSTO Battlecruiser (Starcraft) that fills most of the hangar .
