Ability to Pick up Parts

I think it would be cool if kerbals could pick up parts and carry them around. Like Pikmin. But for some (most) parts, it would take more. For example:

Sepratron: 1

Rockomax 64-jumbo: 20

OKTO: 3

OKTO2: 2

Mainsail: 5

All current science equipment as of 0.21: 1

I don't know if this has been suggested. But anyway, I hope everyone likes this idea!

Is this suggesting that you could use multiple kerbals to move really heavy objects?

The idea of even a large number of Kerbals moving a Rockomax 64-jumbo seems a bit far fetched, its 36tons! You'd prob need at about 10 (pretty fit) kerbals per ton, my game starts lagging badly when I've tried to have 15 kerbals on the ground, I think 360 would kill it dead!

Have you checked out the KAS mod. This now allows you to pick certain objects up (basically anything small and radially mountable, including all the sci parts, lights, batteries and things like that). You can even grab a parachute off the side of your craft and then use it to parachute the kerbal to safety! It also has containers which you can pack with objects so you could take your sci gear in a container and then fit them to the ship when you arrive.

The mod also has a kind of manifest file which allows you to define other parts (either other stock parts or parts from other mods) to be 'grabbed' (without needed to edit the actual part in question). So you could easily add the grab ability to a septron and.... hmmmm, just realised the hilarity that could yield!

Only limitation (I think) is that it has to be a radially attached part.

So how about that a Jumbo-64 is sompley too heavy to lift? You should only be able to move up to 5 tons using 20 kerbals. Yes, Kerbals are that strong.
