Round-Robin Multiplayer / Automatic Save File Sharer

Recommended Posts

Here is a plugin-less solution for pseudo-multiplayer.

This uses my server at emlia.org to share save files. It works well.

WAIT just synchronizes before loading KSP and again when it is exited, and is useful for one-turn-a-day round robin play.

ACTIVE synchronzies every time persistent.sfs changes and loads when the main menu is entered, and is useful for turn based play so you don't have to reload KSP every time.

They are compatible with each other and use Windows' FTP command.

These tools create a text file in which you type the name of the shared game name. Edit it to make it sync the appropriate save game. Do not use spaces in the save game file.

http://emlia.org/ksp_shared/ftp_sync_ksp_active.bat

http://emlia.org/ksp_shared/ftp_sync_ksp_wait.bat

You save these in the KSP directory, and use them to launch KSP.

It is the best I can do given that I do not currently have access to the tools for making plugins. It may help with pseudo-multiplayer.
