Looking for help with my SSTO

Hello people.

I've been toying around with my heavy SSTO design for over two weeks now, created a design that was capable of getting to orbit and (almost) returning to Kerbin... And then decided to improve it. Of course, Murphy's laws kicked in - and what I considered a few minor tweaks turned a decent flyer into a failrue. No matter how I try to tweak the winglets - it either fails to raise its front above the horizon, loses control and falls on its tail, or suddenly plunges at around 10 km as soon as I try to reduce the angle of attack.

The ship uses parts from the following mods: B9 Aerospace Pack, KW Rocketry. I also have Kethane installed, but don't recall using any parts from there.

Action groups are as follows:

1 -> Toggle turbojets

2 -> Toggle main thrusters + toggle air intakes

3 -> Toggle VTOL engines

4 & 5 -> Adjust VOTL angle

6 -> Toggle solar panels.

7 -> Toggle top docking port

8 -> Toggle gear

9 -> Toggle landing struts

10 -> Toggle ladder

Abort -> Toggle air brakes

The startup procedure I used to get into orbit is as follows:

-> Until ~12km gain altitude with 45 degrees angle of attack

-> At ~12 km altitude lower to 15 degrees and start gaining up speed. I usually managed to get at around 1000-1200 m/s before running out of air (measured air speed at turbojet intakes, as I don't really trust either of gimball's indicators)

-> At 22-23 km (or whenever your air intake drops around 0.60) switch the jets off and activate rocket engines from groups 2 & 3

-> Return to 45 degrees angle of attack, use RCS to stabilise it if neccessary.

-> When you see apoapsis reach ~75 km, switch the engines off and wait until you reach ~65 km

-> Leave only VOTLs on (as they have better specific impulse) and burn until you reach a stable orbit.

It is WAD that you have little to no fuel upon reaching orbit. Any ship with standard Clamp-O-Tron docking port can dock and refuel.

I'd greatly, infinitely and totally appreciate any help. I really want to use this machine in my Munar colony program, and this issue stalls the whole project. Also I'm not so fond on giving this up, as I really wanted to have my first functional SSTO operational as a part of it. I can post screenshots showing CoM, CoL and CoT tommorow afternoon (now it's 0:30 where I live and I really want to avoid being a zombie at work... ;)).
