NOTICE: 'Wayfare 365' Anniversary ships have not been tested as thoroughly as our main-line craft. Although they are functional, they are nowhere near as reliable, efficient or sexy as the stuff in our main catalog. They're good fun to fly though!

Introduction

Yay us - we're 1! To celebrate one year of Wayfare Aerospace, Engineering & Kitchen Appliances, we raided the office of our Improbably Dangerous Experiments Agency (IDEA) for some designs that never quite made it to the point of release. The K1 is one such design. It is based on the Soviet N1/L3 program. It has remained on the shelf for many reasons, the primary being that it doesn't look very good. Russian spacecraft tend to have a somewhat bulbous aesthetic which is hard to emulate using KSP stock parts. Others have done a far better job of this than us. If you're looking for a solid Apollo-style Mun rocket, we refer you to the Munshine V, our most successful design with over 1500 happy users. But if you'd like to see what was left on the cutting room floor, read on as Boris introduces the K1!

Privet! I am Boris. Designer at IDEA. I design one rocket that not fly and then I drink - hah! Look. Is K1.

Launch is easy. All throttle, push button SAS and spacebar. Go up, go little sidevays. Easy.

And be on vay to Mun.

I do not understand this docking and transposition thing. Spaceman have legs. He can valk.

Third stage still good, don't throw away. Use for landing. But drop in time so you don't land on top of it, da?

Mun is pretty, even for lonely spaceman. He look happy.

Ven going back, drop legs. Save weight.

Spaceman fly back to friend, dock, valk over and leave the lander in orbit. If you vant clean space program, go fly Munshine instead *spits*

There. Spacemans are back and safe. Ve pick them up later. First have drink on successful mission!

Sir, ve must test rockeet. I no fly unless rocket tested. Should we attempt Munshine-Sayut docking? It seem like good idea, that way ve don't insult Amerikerbs. They really like making explodings to who makes them mad. Just look at Rapan, they made Amerikerb mad, zey went kaboom. We no want big kaboom on Krussia.

No but seriously do an Apollo-Soyuz replica.

And add button to make rocket do the kaboom.

The rocket went kaboom pretty well until I strutted the living daylights out of those outboard engines. Seriously, try flying this thing with the struts taken off - it's hilarious!

A more involved Soyuz-type CSM could be cool, plus it would justify a Soyuz-type launcher... Hmmm...
