The K-38 Lightning Airplane

I wasn't feeling like making another ambitious project like the Agamemnon, so I started goofing in the SPH, after a few explosions this baby was born! A departure from my complex projects this little low altitude plane may look familiar, look up his big brother the P-38 Lightning http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P-38_Lightning

It handles kinda weird though... the pitch will snap... then start going up or down so be careful (Most likely due to partial thrust blockage by the rear wing). Sadly hiding a pair engines in the tail sections wouldn't work, the back wing would completely kill the thrust :-/ but hey it still in the spirit of the original, and I've never seen its like on the forums

Pay special attention to the landing gears when they retract, I think you will like!

-The P-38 had 1 crew, not 2.

-The horizontal stabilizer was not that wide

-That engine makes it almost more reminiscent of a DH Vampire than a P-38.

Otherwise, that is seriously good. I love this plane IRL.

There is a 2 seater variant(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_XP-58_Chain_Lightning), and the limitations of the stock parts will NOT allow for accurate reproductions, so I made a blend, its meant to resemble the P-38, not be an exact replica, a second seat is more useful and aesthetically pleasing then either a truncated cockpit or a bland structural fuselage.

I also clearly stated why I could not hide the engines in the original post, trust me I tried... a lot.

I simply did what I could with what I had.
