@Smart013 the struts seem to be working fine. It takes some position of the strut ends sometimes to get them to work but they do.

Thanx a lot! Will check it the next time, and maybe there are other problems with mods or from my side involved. Exeptional job from your side, my one year duna career mission would stand no chance to do everything in their missionprofile without kas and you :)

Hello, lately I've been searching way to add "grabbableness" to parts and while 5thHorseman's helped me with few stock parts, I wonder if anyone stumbled across some patches that add compatibility with other mods? Like a patch to put RealChutes in container, or Kethane, or SCANsat, basically any mods at all. I use a lot of them and anything done by anyone else than me would probably work better if it is published somewhere. Thanks in advance!

In no way is this and official patch or representing Majiir in any way.

Allot of people have been having issue installing the fix with KAS.

First download this(Its Majiirs KAS) https://nabaal.net/files/ksp/KAS_v0.4.7.zip

Extract the GameData folder from the zip file^ into your KerbalSpaceProgram directory( you can find this location by right click on the launch icon and selection open file location OR through STEAM right click on Kerbal Space Program and select properties then select local files and next click on browse local files)

After that you need to download my KAS fix or KAS recompile depending on if you are playing KSP 32bit or KSP 64bit. You can check this by look to the bottom right while KSP is running at the main menu.

If you are running 32bit KSP download this https://www.dropbox.com/s/qgp9a06n2k2pq2d/KAS32bitRecompile.zip and do the same as we did before extract the GameData folder from the zip to the Kerbal Space Program directory and override what it ask.

If you are running 64bit KSP download this https://www.dropbox.com/s/4kaie9rnpio42r8/KAS_64bit_24_2.zip and same again extract the GameData folder from the zip to Kerbal Space Program directory and override what it ask.

For 64bit only if the above version is messing up with containers try this version https://www.dropbox.com/s/0f4x4xcu2drbmkp/KAS_64bit_24_3.zip

I hope this resolves the issue for you but if not I would check the last few pages and see if anything posted might help you.

I'm sorry I must have missed that post, I will investigate now and I'm very sorry that I haven't addressed it until now. I will reply back with my findings.

I followed the instructions with a clean install of KAS and tried the first then the second .dll (64bit) with no luck. I can't grab anything out of the containers. I tried a little test and just attached KAS parts in the VAB then went to the pad. I could detach and reattach the parts. I can grab the container as well, but I can't remove anything. Any ideas?

Try the below and see what happens, it fixed it for flarestarchild and he was also having the same issue. Its most likely something to do with the installation of KAS. I'll do my best to help you get it working.

Heh I know how you feel, KSP would be very hard without KAS :D I'm happy to hear its working.

Must have missed it, but I would seriously go over installation again and try new save new ship, and post log from console when trying to grab container.

Duh.....didn't even think of making a new ship each test. I was using a saved one. I will give that a shot and try and provide a log. Thanks for the help!

OK....so I grabbed a shot of my log while trying to grab a part. I have tried both .dll files again with fresh install and I was in sandbox while testing. Something I noticed while trying this in my old career mode save was that the KAS parts were in my parts list but I could not select them. This was new since it was at least allowing me to select the part and add to the container in the VAB. Odd.

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know whether this may work with 0.24.2 ?

Yes read this, http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/53134-Kerbal-Attachment-System-%28KAS%29-0-4-7-Pipes-as-fuel-lines-and-even-fewer-explosions%21?p=1340082&viewfull=1#post1340082

What items are in the container, and which part are you trying to pull out?

I had strut endpoints and radial pipe ends. As you can see by the screenshot I can at least grab the container, but I can't put it back in the cradle....only drop it or open it while it is on my back.

Are you running 32bit KSP or 64 bit KSP? I still think its something to do with your installation of KAS. You can check this at the main menu of Kerbal Space Program down to the bottom right hand corner.

I am running 64bit. I actually found out what the problem was. For some reason my version was not applying the updates to 24.2 I downloaded the latest pure 24.2 then added all my mods back along with KAS. Everything seems fine now and shows the correct version# of KSP as well. Guess I should have looked closer at the versioning info :) Thanks for the help though!!! One more question. In previous versions of KAS I edited the config so I could attach all KAS parts via EVA. I guess I will still need to go back and edit it again?

Would be a nice feature if KAS had a button for the top right corner, much like Engineer and Alt resource panel has, that way we can access and switch off the servo & configuration menu's, etc that fill up the screen. Also, tabbed menu's would be great

are the fixes you made to the 64bit version closed source? I'd rather apply any fixes to my local copy of the source code and go from there - thanks...

I'm contacting a Mod about how I should go about that, I don't want to get banned for posting something I shouldn't lol

If you override the KAS files then yes.

For the winch it does, Hit P when you have a winch on your vehicle. Also KAS has hotkeys for other actions - List

I've noticed that KAS parts under strain, over several quicksaves the parts will slowly "stretch" and eventually fail/disconnect from the vehicle. I've seen this problem since 0.21, anyone have a understanding of it?

Is it with time warp or ? Also when you revert back to a save does it fix it or stay the same? I will start testing this and see what I can do.

It gets worse with ever revert quick-save, as in quick-save and load-save, repeat: watch it stretch and break. I've experiences something similar awhile back with like .22 with robotic parts also having "creep" after several cycles of quick/loadsave, so this may be a engine problem.

Ya I would think its probably something to do with Unity but I'll take a took and mess around, I typically do allot of quicksaving as well but haven't noticed it. I'm kinda ocd about quicksaving but I quess I don't normally revert back that much. I'm starting up a test environment now, I will reply back with my findings.
