TheBedla
I am quite sure the recovery button works on every craft that is on Kerbin. In .22 I recovered a craft from the desert on the continent west of KSC, and in .21 (where the recovery function was implemented already), I recovered
NWCtim
As long as you are somewhere on the surface of Kerbin, your craft can be recovered.
stringyquark
I believe it just has to land (or splash down) on kerbin to be recoverable. Part of the space programs without boarders project.
Umlüx
is that so? that would be too easy?but who am i to complain
Garek
In my opinion, a maximum recovery range would add too much unnessecary difficulty for people like me. I struggle to build a plane that just gets off the ground without crashing, building one to bring a craft back to the KSC is way out of my capabilities. And my precision landings...well not really there yet, especially through atmosphere. What I expect once there is currency in career mode is recovery to get more expensive/less usefull/etc. the further the craft landed from the KSC, as a soft incentive to improve your landings.
