In search of science multipliers...

Recommended Posts

So I'm compiling a list of the various planet/moon multipliers, and I'd like some help with this. Each planet has a few "zones" that register differently when doing science, and also sometimes have different multipliers as well. Here's what I have so far and what I need:

Kerbin:

At KSC: 0.3

Landed: 0.4

Midair: 0.7

Upper Atmosphere: 0.7

Low Orbit: 1

High Orbit: 1

Mun:

High Orbit: 3

Low Orbit: 3

Landed: 4

Minmus

High Orbit: 4

Low Orbit: 4

Landed: 5

Duna

High Orbit: 7

Low Orbit: 7

Midair: ?

Ike

High Orbit: 8

Low Orbit: 8

Eve

High Orbit: 7

Low Orbit: 7

Any and all help is appreciated!

You should publish your findings on the wiki. Any research you publish on the forum will get lost too quickly. This information belongs both into the general science article and into the articles about the different celestial bodies.

By the way: Kerbin and Mun have multiple biomes which could have different science multipliers. On Mun, each of the large craters is an individual biome. On Kerbin it's the terrain type.

Part of why I'm compiling this data (I'm storing it locally as well) is so I can update the Wiki's science section, actually. Also, as far as I can tell, biomes don't change the multipliers; they just make it so that you can do more science at a location than otherwise possible. There seem to be 14 Mun biomes, meaning even an orbital trip to the Mun can be absurdly profitable.
