Tether for EVA Kerbonaut?

It's possible this has been asked before, but it never hurts to be sure. Could we have tethers for our Kerbonauts when in zero G? I've just lost one who was just going to step outside and check the view. I'm sure we can dig up some old clothesline somewhere

In my time on this forum, I've seen at least 15 of these threads pop up.

That doesn't stop me from wanting it, though.

the KAS mod pack has exactly that, you know...

not saying it's not a valid suggestion, but judging by the latest developments, with the order of priorities the dev crew is currently set on, this would probably sit very far down the end of the "maybe we'll get to thinking about this someday" lineup...

KAS has this working for you right now
