custom strut/fuel line model

Did anyone create a working, complete fuel line/strut mod?

I\'ve found a need to have a smaller fuel line, opened up the DAE for the fuel line and the mount of stuff in there confuses me (those pivots especially). I tried just rescaling the whole thing to 50% but I got really strange results: the pipe part didn\'t change but the rest shrunk like 10 or 20 times - becoming nothing more that just a few pixels.

If someone knows how to properly do this, I\'d be grateful for some pointers...

That bad, eh? Well then, I\'ll be needing to bump the size of my droptanks then....

Actually, I found the secret. The struts stretch in the Z axis. So if you rotate only the object it will work. As long as the mesh itself has no rotation. Proof enough: look at my Project Kebylon. It has a custom heavy strut which works FINE.
