OtherDalfite
Moon spiders = Not to scary. Just bring a big flyswatter. Also check your space suit to make sure none of the little critters are attached to it. That\'s what caused Anderson to get infected.

OtherDalfite
You\'re blood would take a while to boil. You would have passed out from lack of oxygen first. Then the worse things would start happening.

Not from freezing or explosions, they died from suffocation as the capsule\'s atmosphere drained.

ping111
your blood only boils Umm, you do realize your blood isn\'t boiling, right? The coldness of space puts all liquids in a triple state, in which it is all three states of matter at the same time. This means your blood is evaporating from every part of itself simultaneously, causing it to appear to boil.

The coldness of space puts all liquids in a triple state, in which it is all three states of matter at the same time. This means your blood is evaporating from every part of itself simultaneously, causing it to appear to boil.Boiling is the rapid vaporization of a liquid, which occurs when a liquid is heated to its boiling point, the temperature at which the vapor pressure of the liquid is equal to the pressure exerted on the liquid by the surrounding environmental pressure. While below the boiling point a liquid evaporates from its surface, at the boiling point vapor bubbles come from the bulk of the liquid. For this to be possible, the vapor pressure must be sufficiently high to win the atmospheric pressure, so that the bubbles can be 'inflated'. Thus, the difference between evaporation and boiling is 'mechanical', rather than thermodynamical. The boiling point is lowered when the pressure of the surrounding atmosphere is reduced, for example by the use of a vacuum pump or at high altitudes. Boiling occurs in three characteristic stages, which are nucleate, transition and film boiling. These stages generally take place from low to high heating surface temperatures, respectively.I think its boiling.

While facing away from the sun, temperatures can be as cold as -200 degrees. Heat transfers so slowly in a vacuum that you wouldn\'t feel the extreme cold or heat. Your blood would boil prior to your body losing almost all of the pressure in your body. Less than 1 PSI should do the trick. Nothing can be in all 3 states of matter at the same time.
