kerbonaut101
Im wondering, does anyone else who has KSP on steam suddenly have a KSP launcher when you click "Play Now"? Where has this come from?

kerbonaut101
Well, I was on KSP yesterday and I didn't get it... is it from a patch that was released after 0.22?
Guest
No. It came with the release of 0.22. It's more likely that Steam repointed their "Play Now" button from KSP.exe to the launcher app.
Andon
I was playing KSP (It had never used the Launcher before, even after 0.22) and the game closed. I start it up again and I get the launcher. Look at Steam, and it's just finished an update to KSP. Definitely something after 0.22 (Although maybe not on KSP's end).Edit: Also, now Steam doesn't show me as playing KSP. It'll catch the launcher, but when the launcher transitions into KSP it shows me as not playing anything. It's really only an annoyance, but still. HarvesteR
We changed the app config today to launch the launcher exe instead of the game directly, but just now reverted it back, since there were a few issues we need to take care of before we can set it up as the default for everyone. The launcher is available on your game files, if you already want to use it (you can create a shortcut for it). But Steam will bypass it until we're sure all issues are taken care of.Cheers
K3-Chris
Does it trigger UAC and break the steam overlay/steam integration for anyone else? I really don't like it, even disabling it doesn't fix it and it still shows up for a second if you do.If the game really needs a pre-launch settings window make it a separate executable you can run if you need to, not a required step to get into the game.At the least give us the option to completely bypass it, not just auto-run KSP after it opens.
