Do kerbals still bounce and not get vaporized into dust that will float over the wastelands of you landing planet forever when you turn them upside-down and their helmet hits the ground?

Yep. It's how I saved my third Kerbal after yet another disastrous reentry when i was still figuring out the science system and I still had DRE installed.

For good luck, try naming your kerbals after friends who have heads harder than they should be.

No, It had to have been good luck on your part, Exposure. I have never been able top save a Kerbal like that since 0.20.2
