Default buttons for gamepad/joysticks?

This is how I have my gamepad set up. I use joytokey for the dpad buttons

I am also planning on getting some joysticks and one of those airplane throttle things when i get my next money

so I have two suggestions

Set up a default joypad setup like mine

you have docking controls? (which I don't use), how about spaceplane controls? I would love to press a button to turn the thumbstick on my gamepad from pitch/yaw to pitch/rotation

If you used an Xbox controller for it instead, you might have enough buttons to have a "switch mode" button... But with a controller like that, you'd have to do some reconfiguring, I think, to make it all fit properly.

Oh no I don't expect everything to fit on the controller, I simply put all the "piloting, steering, moving" controls to the controller. Most of the action keys, the lights, the landing gear, all those still have to be done with a keyboard.

I don't expect to not need a keyboard, but having thumb sticks for control is a lot easier and more precise. I haven't docked with them yet, but I have docked before. I can imagine it is gonna be really easy for me.

I can't wait until I get some real joysticks.
