Unexpected scene

Hello All

So I was launching my command module to link up with my second Mun lander at my space station. And when I changed camera views during the 1st stage booster separation there was a perfect Sun rise to go with it. Had to share.

The Mun landing went well too!

Quite the contrast, huh? Barren, dead surface of the Mun, and beautiful, vibrant Kerbin on the horizon. Reminding you where your home is, why it is so precious, and that you are not alone. I love this view

Yes these views are spectacular. But one gets used to them over time.

That seems kind of sad. Don't get me wrong I know what you mean. I don't really pay attention to the sunrise unless it's over some new planet I haven't been to, and I don't like that. That we can get used to something looking that cool and take it for granted seems a little sad.

i really like the views you get when on the mun and you get a partial solar eclipse with kerbin halfway covering the sun

I love those unexpected things popping up.

Slightly less grand but on my recent mission to the artic (building an artic research station) I was second guessing why I bothered with it. Then I caught Jeb climbing back into the pod and noticed the mun rising (or maybe setting) in the daylight... was a beautiful and unexpected view that made the trip worth it to me.
