Can't help you with regard to KSP, but AnadTech did a writeup on the chipset a few months ago.

This is personally relevant to me because I want to replace my current MacBook Pro with a new retina model, but I'm very leery of losing a discrete GPU in the transition.

I'm not sure that you'll be able to find many people with this CPU on a screen at that resolution. This is a really uncommon and pretty expensive part. But if I had to guess I would say that it won't do very well at max settings, even Intel's best integrated GPUs are pretty bad compared to a low-end discrete GPU. You will probably have to turn down a few things. The game will still be CPU limited most of the time, but running at max settings could slow things down in some situations.

Well reading that review from annandtech I can try and answer your question ;) It says The Iris pro is on par with the GT650M. I am using a GT630M which is a lot less powerful than the 650M. I play KSP quite smoothly on my laptop at res of 1366x768 with settings almost to max. my CPU is a i7 3610 with 8gb of ram.

CPU and ram are a must for this game.

Not sure what you will get in at HD res though.

EDIT: And I forgot to say, no matter your graphic card, the game will slow down when you abuse it ;)
