Lightnings

When Apollo 12 launched, there were 2 lightnings they hit the rocket. Could that be possible in KSP? Please......

Possible? Sure. But I don't think it is a priority. Maybe sometime when Squad is so happy with all other aspects of the game that they'll start implementing weather.

So, Zeus can decide he doesn't like your latest rocket design and zap it on the launch pad or during ascent?

I'm not entirely against it, but it implies a more in-depth mechanic be designed with ways to predict/prevent/circumvent weather effects beyond time-warping past them. A reason to have weather satellites, a lightning rod part, etc.

Squad have also said that they do not want "random" damage sources in game that can ruin a mission on chance alone, so this might be in the realm of modding.
