KC-35 Armadillo, 23 Kerbal SSTO version coming soon!

Recommended Posts

Hey Folks,

This is my KC-35 Armadillo F.A.T MK.2. It safely seats 23 Kerbals in it's roomy bay. The Armadillo handles like a much smaller plane and is capable of barrel rolls, immalman's, and even loops. Because of it's open bay, for ease of access and egress, the KC-35 is not recomended for altitudes above 9,000. meters. The Armadillo is no light weight and does required enough room to reach something just short of 100 mps in order to attain flight. Of course, it's slow because it has so much armor protecting it's payload of Kerbal butt whoopin. Current pics of the Mk.2 are to be found if you scroll down a short bit.

Here is the link to download it if you want.

Ok, finally done with the MK.2. I increased the cargo bay size, without increasing the ship size, allowing for 23 kerbals instead of 16. It also has increased power, cleaner lines, and a longer operational range. It IS slightly less stable in the air, so be careful with multiple barrel rolls. On the other hand it can bust through a loop or immelman like nobody's business now.

Current reports from deep within the Kerbal Carrier skunk works are that the Armadillo is trading in it's low altitude engines for a shiny new ssto system. Reports are unverified as yet, but the mind boggles as a platform that can carry 23 kerbals to space in a stingle trip. This could revolutionize everything we know about....well, the Armadillo at least.
