How to overwrite mod files

Recommended Posts

Simple question really, i don't know. How do i overwrite the files for a mod? I'm trying to overwrite KW rocketry and B9 Aerospace with a mod a found that reduces their textures and makes the game run faster. The instructions say you have to overwrite the mod files. Any help is appreciated. :)

You will just dump the new files into the folder with the old ones and click on yes when asked about overwriting files with the same name.

Just to be safe, back up the old folders before changing them.

The answer is so obvious you should know it, but. You have to open the mod folder (KSP\GameData\B9_Aerospace and KWRocketry) where the folders Parts, Plugins, Props, Resources, etc. are. Find the same folders in the replacement archive, then drag and drop them into the mod folder. When asked to overwrite, click yes.

Thanks for the relpies so far, but i have another question. I haven't seen the question "do you want to overwrite?" come up yet. I found the mod folders, opened them, and then dragged what i want to overwrite them with there. It showed up, but didn't ask me if i wanted to overwrite?
