IvanTehFennec
The base-price was raised to make the sale look better. Pretty shady buisiness practice if you ask me.EDIT: In fact, it's against FTC regulations to do so. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/guides/decptprc.htm Edited November 16, 2013 by IvanTehFennec

IvanTehFennec
Technically though, the price was raissed thanks to 0.22Just seems really sketchy to me. They went about it horribly, not even announcing the price raise at all.
Dispatcher
As KSP has become popular, I was surprised that Squad sanctioned a sale at all (even after the price hike, which I suppose they justified with the addition of Career mode functionality); especially so close to the holiday season. With the sale on, a few people I had told about the game went ahead and bought it. I suppose one factor for having a sale includes the velocity of units moved.
