[Others] I have a copy of KSP, do I need a Steam version?

Any special about Steam version vs the download-offline version?

Special promotion, faster update?

Anyway my Internet connection are very bad here in my area.

There is nothing different about the Steam version. Steam does give you the ability to automatically update the game(this can be good or bad), keep track of the time you have played KSP (which is kinda nice in case you want to brag about how much you've played), and collect trading cards.
