Spaceplanes start from SPH Apron

It would be good to have, along with steerable wheels, your aircraft starting on the apron outside the SPH so then you could pick whether you want to fly towards the ocean or towards the mountains.

That's a good idea actually. Especially since there are long-term plans for weather conditions; you could pick which runway to take off from according to the current wind conditions.

That would make flying a bit more immersive, it being "like a real" flight, beginning in the hangar.

However I would say it is low priority on the dev's list of to-do's, they are focussing on basic game mechanics right now.

Overhauled UIs, 3D Mouse Support, Monopropellant-powered EVAs, Steerable landing gear, Secondary propellants for engines, more Biomes, and of course, hunting down some of the most critical long-standing bugs… The list goes on.

You can at least drive your spaceplane to the other end of the runway before taking off.

Steerable landing gear is already in the b9 aerospace pack, and since the maker is a developer, maybe they'll just save the extra work and steal the really good landing gear from that pack.

To be honest I would like to have the option to go out of the hangar, but really I would also like much more "impacting" features, like features that actually fundamentally change the gameplay.

The gameplay of KSP currently quickly stagnates if you are good at these kind of games, and they should try to avoid implementing gimmicks and solving this issue first, IMHO.

But everything aside, a +1 from me, going from hangar may include a bit too much work for what it produces, but will increase immersion, and that isn't ever a bad thing.
