How to use IPreFlightCheck

Does anyone know how to use IPreFlighCheck? I created a class that inherits from it, and it seems straight forward, but I have no idea how to add this to the list of default preflight checks.

I am trying to "capture" the launch button click and add a couple of checks before allowing the launch. Is there a better way to do this?
