X-craft

Another in my imaginatively titled X series of planes, the I.T.X 62. Capable of putting a kerbal on the moon, possibly further. Since the trip, ladders have been added to allow the kerbal to actually get out when he gets there.

1 fires the downward facing rockets,

2 the jets

3 the nuke

A truly daft number of air intakes, so fly high and fast and you can get a decent apoapsis on jets only.

The I.T. X62 Duna variant.

With the aid of very high kerbal orbit refuelling, makes it to Duna surface and back to land on Kerbal.

To be honest, as I emptied the jet fuel tank in orbit and am a very poor pilot, it might be that a skilled pilot could do surface to surface and back again. ( skilled pilot might remember to put the ladder up before launch)

9 fires the parachutes

The I.T. X64 a

Seven Kerbals to a range of orbits, bundles of fuel left when you get there. Extremely precarious ladder arrangement.

There is a VTOL version shown, but that has a tendency to malfunction just a little bit upon landing.

Published version includes downward facing rocket motors for landing on non-atmospheric bodies, if you fancy that sort of thing.

1-downward rockets

2-jets

3-nukes

The I.T. X76

My attempt at minimalism. I don't think I'm very good at minimalism (76 parts..) :D

2 for the jets, 3 for the engines.

(Oh, glides like a pig. Powered landings only :) )
