A report from Washington state stated that together with British Columbia and Oregon there are only 55 million people in all 3 states and the Canadian province combined. No insurgents have been found and all insurgents are pushed out. (I have California as my HQ.) Meanwhile, Arizona is struggling to push the Bobs out, and Montana and Idaho have a pro-Insurgency government. Utah is neutral, and we are going to secure that state before the Insurgency takes over that state. Keep in mind that we shouldn't engage first, because Utah is like Kentucky in the American Civil War. Jet Propulsion Laboratory is working feverishly to make good on the landing.Pasadena: And separation complete. The Interceptor is now in 2. We are going to call the orbiter Interceptor, and call the lander/rover Snoopy. Yeah, weird name, but we ran out of names 2 years ago... It's embarrassing... Anyway, in 12 minutes Snoopy is going to join Curiosity on Mars... if it went along the plan... Then 15 minutes later the landing the orbiter will insert into orbit, to make sure we don't overshoot the braking point.(Just imagine Curiosity actually survived to the landing date...)5 minutes later...Pasadena: And Snoopy is breaking at about 13000 mph, and slowing down. (-6:45) The landing site is farther than intended, but it doesn't matter, as Snoopy can correct the landing sites with a pulse of thrusters... Going up... (-5:30) The lander is still braking, at less than 7157 mph. (-3:23) Now it has slowed down enough for the parachute- Wait... the parachute is not activated. What happened? DisarmingBaton5 Posted November 21, 2013 Share Posted November 21, 2013 GUN has lost a probe!..............................._/................[]..................||[][]}..........^..........Transmission lost November 20 at 16:10.Entire port side destroyed and partial damage on starboard side (photovoltaic damaged, engine bell severed) reported as the probe was sighted via telescope.The spread of damage suggests a collision with fragmented debris or shrapnel.We suspect the USSR as the insurgency does not seem intelligent enough to accomplish orbital rendezvous and debris collisions are rare. The USSR is the only other nation with a currently active large space program after USA became inactive. Projectile/debris that caused the damage has not yet been sighted. Casualties are unknown but are predicted to be more than 10,000.The UPDF has relocated it's capitol to one of its many tiny unsuspecting small towns (Oh yes, the UP Department of Defense is now in the basement of some bored townsfolk), and built several false HQ's. Afte the destruction of Decoy #86, there will be another replacment HQ set up.Another rod-of-god attack has hit the metro area of Sacramento with hypersonic projectiles.
