no illuminated shader?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I'm wondering, there seems to be no self-illumin shader for KSP in Unity, but in the game, I can clearly see that effect on some parts, like the blue glow on the Ram-Intake

It receives shadows and lighting so it doesn't seem to use an Unlit shader.

What am I missing? :S

EDIT: OK! Apparently I'm supposed to use the Emissive Shader for that, is that correct? If that's the case then I'm sorry for the dumb question.

There is an emissive shader however it's affects do not clearly show when in a lighted environment. Here is an example on some Models i am creating for the Impossible Innovations mod. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/wMaP_Cn9-qDT9zgpTUU5aqgUwxXVt3_L5uFR99iUcw0=w345-h259-p-no

Under the shaders in Unity (KSP part tools) KSP/ Emissive/ Diffuse. It works with the other KSP emissive shaders as well...like specular. I think if your trying to get a part to "glow" even in a lighted environment yaou may need to look at adding some sort of light source to the model on a really low setting (Area light or something) other than that i am not sure. Hope this helps!
