Career Mode Currency and Science

Recommended Posts

I have a simple suggestion regarding the way that science and currency will work in career mode. Science will be earned the way it is earned now, with scientific missions created by the players. If the player wants to earn more money, they will need to complete assigned missions. Scientific missions use up money but don't gain it, so you will need to complete missions to fund your scientific missions. Examples of missions are to put a pre-built payload into orbit or land it somewhere, or land a kerbal in a certain place. If you want to gain money and science at the same time you can take scientific equipment on your missions to get some science from wherever you are going.

I really hope we don't get missions where I have to drop some pre-defined payload somewhere that jacks up my active flight count and lags out my game for no good reason. Hopefully missions like that will be built so I can immediately trash the offending item upon completion.

I believe that there will be contracts you can accept. From being Comsats to Space Stations. There can also be stuff such as a Kerbal Prince offering you free insurance. All you have to do is get his satalite into orbit, or something as the such.

That sounds liek an incredivle deal! I would be happy to act as MISTER KERMAN's beneficiary and launch his satellite merely on the promise of future cash reward!
