So I bought the game way back over a year ago before it was on steam in version .17.

I play and then .18 happens and I am like OMG WTF SOO GOOD

I play until about February when it seems boring, but I read the forum occasionally until late March.

I come back and my account is deleted and career mode is here, so what happened in between? Why was my account deleted?

Your account was deleted in an incident called the April Kraken Attack, where the servers got hit really hard and had to be restored from a backup.
