At actually worked well for a very long time, and it did also in a large amount of other countrys. But I assumes that your the type of american that believes that your way is the only way. Guess what, your country is in deep debt, heaps of Americans are losing there homes. But you don\'t give two shits about them, and would rather stay in your dream world. Wake up.

And as for soviet russia, they had a great system that had some flaws. They could have worked around those flaws but didn\'t.

And I never said our way is the best way, but Soviet Russia didn\'t have a great system. Quality of life wasn\'t anywhere near the standard in many other countries. Scientists lived in sealed cities, and they were the only ones who were given the lap of luxury treatment other then politicians.

I have some advice for you. Look up free market and planned economy. Thats what we are talking about. Not communism and capitalism.

And I really couldn\'t care less about them either, I\'m talking about how to fix shit without having to completely rewrite the way the current governments work.

You get rid of the current welfare system that allows people to abuse it. If you can work in any capacity, you have to work, I don\'t care that your back is fucked up, if you can sit your ass down then you get to work as a Secretary for all I care. If you don\'t work you don\'t get money. Yes you\'ll get a supplement, but you won\'t get an entire wage.

So if I was to lose all abilty to move anything bellow my neck, then I might as well die, huh. Or if a doctor deems me mentaly unsafe for work, then what should I do? People like your are being quite annoying. There are several thousand people that when they found out that they were eather mentaly unsafe for work, or got a disablity, still wanted to work but can\'t.

The 1967 amendments specified that workers shall be determined to be under a disability only if the physical or mental impairment or impairments are of such severity that the individual is not only unable to do his previous work but cannot, considering his age, education, and work experience, engage in any other kind of substantial gainful work which exists in the national economy.

Under this, there back must eather be quite bad (I.E there bed ridden) or they can\'t do any other job. In the case of a person with paranoid schizophrenia (moderate case), they behavour would be erratic enough to deter most employers. Even if it wasn\'t very erratic, who would want to hire a paranoid schizophrenic over a 'normal' person? Under you idea, they would have no way of getting the drugs that are needed to keep them somewhat close to a 'normal' person. That person that can\'t do any job because he has lost one arm fighting in a war? On the streets, begging for money.

The best thing to do is to get people off it, by getting them into jobs that they can handle.
